Frollo
The world is cruel
The world is wicked
It's I alone whom you can trust in this whole city
I am your only friend
I who keep you, teach you, feed you, dress you
I who look upon you without fear
How can I protect you, boy, unless you
Always stay in here
Away in here
Remember what I taught you, Quasimodo
You are deformed
Quasimodo
I am deformed
Frollo
And you are ugly
Quasimodo
And I am ugly
Frollo
And these are crimes
For which the world
Shows little pity
You do not comprehend
Quasimodo
You are my one defender
Frollo
Out there they'll revile you
As a monster
Quasimodo
I am a monster
Frollo
Out there they will hate
And scorn and jeer
Quasimodo
Only a monster
Frollo
Why invite their calumny
And consternation?
Stay in here
Be faithful to me
Quasimodo
I'm faithful
Frollo
Grateful to me
Quasimodo
I'm grateful
Frollo
Do as I say
Obey
And stay
In here
Quasimodo
I'll stay
In here
Quasimodo
Safe behind these windows and these parapets of stone
Gazing at the people down below me
All my life I watch them as I hide up here alone
Hungry for the histories they show me
All my life I memorize their faces
Knowing them as they will never know me
All my life I wonder how it feels to pass a day
Not above them
But part of them

And out there
Living in the sun
Give me one day out there
All I ask is one
To hold forever

Out there
Where they all live unaware
What I'd give
What I'd dare
Just to live one day out there

Out there among the millers and the weavers and their wives
Through the roofs and gables I can see them
Ev'ry day they shout and scold and go about their lives
Heedless of the gift it is to be them
If I was in their skin
I'd treasure ev'ry instant

Out there
Strolling by the Seine
Taste a morning out there
Like ordinary men
Who freely walk about there
Just one day and then
I swear I'll be content
With my share
Won't resent
Won't despair
Old and bent
I won't care
I'll have spent
One day
Out there

I have often dreamed
Of a far-off place
Where a great warm welcome
Will be waiting for me
Where the crowds will cheer
When they see my face
And a voice keeps saying
This is where I'm meant to be

I will find my way
I can go the distance
I'll be there someday
If I can be strong
I know ev'ry mild
Will be worth my while
I would go most anywhere
to feel like I belong

I am on my way
I can go the distance
I don't care how far
Somehow I'll be strong
I know ev'ry mile
Will be worth my while
I would go most anywhere
to find where I belong

Look at me
You may think you see who I really am
But you'll never know me
Ev'ry day
It's as if I play a part
Now I see
If I wear a mask
I can fool the world
But I cannot fool my heart

Who is that girl I see
Staring straight back at me?
When will my reflection show
Who I am inside?

I am now
In a world where I have to hide my heart
And what I believe in
But somehow
I will show the world
What's inside my heart
And be loved for who I am

Who is that girl I see
Staring straight back at me?
Why is my reflection someone I don't know?
Must I pretend that I'm
Someone else for all time?
When will my reflection show
Who I am inside?

There's a heart that must be free to fly
That burns with a need to know the reason why
Why must we all conceal
What we think
How we feel
Must there be a secret me
I'm forced to hide?

I won't pretend that I'm
Someone else
For all time
When will my reflection show
Who I am inside?
When will my reflection show
Who I am inside?

More About Me:

What Your Bathroom Habits Say About You
You are very independent and self-centered. You don't solve other people's problems - and you don't expect them to solve yours.

Your idea of fashion is jeans and a t-shirt. Clean, if you're lucky.

You are a little shy and easily embarrassed. You often wonder if you are normal.

In relationships, you are practical and realistic. You have a romantic side, but you only let it out when it's appropriate.
You Should Get a MFA (Masters of Fine Arts)
You're a blooming artistic talent, even if you aren't quite convinced.
You'd make an incredible artist, photographer, or film maker.

What Your Face Says
At first glance, people see you as warm and well-balanced.

Overall, your true self is creative and expressive.

With friends, you seem dramatic, lively, and quick to react.

In love, you seem mysterious and interesting.

In stressful situations, you seem sad and helpless.
You Are A Romantic
You life your life like a fairy tale... or at least you try to.
Living for magical moments, you believe there's only one true love for you.
Love is the most important thing in your life, and you don't take it for granted.
Your perfect match loves to be in love as much as you do!
You Are Royal Blue
People find you difficult to understand. In fact, you often find it hard to understand yourself.
You think so much that sometimes you get lost in your own thoughts!

So, it's been a long time since I posted.  Oh well, I guess.

Life is monotonous and exciting at the same time.  I am buried in grad school applications, and am totally psyched about what the next few months and years hold.  At the same time, I am frustrated at the dullness of my everyday routine.  I am bored with school here. Ready to move on to new stimuli.

I get up, drink coffee, go to class/rehearsal, take a nap, practice, work, class, (class), practice, work.  With some variation.  And usually more than one instance of coffee drinking.

How is it that the semester is going too fast and too slow at the same time?

I wish I could make up my mind.

I have a lesson in two weeks in Chicago- yay!

Prince of Antarctica- since I know you are gonna read this- would you like to go to the MSO this saturday night?  Hillary Hahn and Shostakovich Symphony No. 9.

Please excuse the randomness.  I'm a little more spacy these days.  Maybe that means I'm becoming a better musician..

Ba-dum ching.

Good night.

Aladdin: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack [Blisterpack]

A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep
In dreams you lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep

Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling thru
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
the dream that you wish will come true

The second star to the right
Shines in the night for you
To tell you that the dreams you plan
Really can come true

The second star to the right
Shines with a light that's rare
And if it's Never Land you need
It's light will lead you there

Twinkle, twinkle little star
So I'll know where you are
Gleaming in the skies above
Lead me to the one who loves me

And when you bring him my way
Each time we say "Goodnight"
We'll thank the little star that shines
The second from the right

I don't know if You can hear me
Or if You're even there
I don't know if You would listen
To a gypsy's prayer
Yes, I know I'm just an outcast
I shouldn't speak to you
Still I see Your face and wonder
Were You once an outcast too?

God help the outcasts
Hungry from birth
Show them the mercy
They don't find on earth
God help my people
We look to You still
God help the outcasts
Or nobody will
